Spinal Stenosis
Spinal Stenosis symptoms and risks
Degeneration and dehydration of the spinal discs and/or joints leads to bone spur formation and narrowing of the spinal canal. Symptoms are often similar to disk herniation although they tend to come on more slowly (over months or years) so they are frequently diagnosed at later stages. Frequently, patients will report worsening symptoms with more activity. On occasion, symptoms can be severe leading to extreme difficulty in walking or even paralysis with loss of bowel and bladder control.
