Myelopathy
Myelopathy symptoms and risks
Conditions that lead to compression of the spinal cord can lead to progressive weakness, balance problems, loss of dexterity of the hands (frequently dropping objects or problems with handwriting), or loss of control of bowel and bladder control. These conditions are frequently serious and require immediate evaluation by a spinal specialist as in most cases surgical treatment is often needed more urgently than other conditions that are associated with pain only.
